Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Basildon town centre. Evidence that HG Wells had it right - the Morlocks have evolved already.

Underpass, Skelmersdale. Straight out of Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange.'

Didn't Edward Thomas write a poem about Didcot?

No. No, he didn't. That was Adlestrop.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes the view from Frodsham hill Cerretonia - especially as I live there!

Teeside chem works at night is equally blade-runner-y.

One of the worst things about Didcot for me was cycling the Sustrans Route 4 Thames Valley route through there. The stupid thing basically does almost a full lap of the place.

I came in the top right hand side, went all the way round this dump then went off top left. The cut through you can see wasn't marked.

LOL at The Teaboys comment about Coventry on the previous page. So true. 😂 Just hoping that City of Culture money is going to improve things a bit!
