Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I will leave it to Glenn to disembowel anyone referring to The Dan as yacht.

Him or 10,000 men of Harvard.

Although some might prefer Sonic Universe: Transcending the world of jazz with eclectic, avant-garde takes on tradition. Now playing: Alan Machacek - Departure. It has a lot of notes in it. An AWFUL lot. somafm.com

(I made it through Hall'n'Oates, and even Kenny Loggins, but left when ELO appeared.)

Sonic Universe does seem to feature rather too many notes for me not to get a headache.

I dipped into Groove Salad. That's not bad as a WFH soundtrack.

I quite liked the Terje Rypdal track which followed. The guitar reminded me of Andy Latimer of Camel. Specifically, the end of tracks on Rain Dances. Looking him up, no surprise that he is a: Norwegian and b: on ECM Records (for the last fifty years!). I've downloaded some.

And I liked the voice on the following track, sung by Becca Stevens. Listening to some of her just now, but the way the vocals are recorded is annoying me.
