Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If anyone is interested in logging their pool or open water swimming by imagining they are travelling down the Thames through the year, I'll run another log for 2016.

For those who didn't take part last year, there'll be an excel spreadsheet and a wiki and I'll add a suitable amount of Thames at intervals to make sure the first swimmer has something to go for. A bit like this http://www.fetcheveryone.com/article-view.php?id=521 Participants are encouraged to add their own 'points of interest' as we go.

Names for the starting line:

fab idea

I'm in as it will encourage me in my swimming for 2016, though I don't expect I'll be waving to the good people of Canvey even virtually.

I'm interested. Injury kept me out of the pool for a lot of 2015 but I enjoyed the challenge when I was doing it.

I'd like to join but can I start where I finished in 2015 please? I'll never get to the mouth of the river if I have to go back to the source again :-) I got to 42.7 miles this year (against a target of 55 :-()
