Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Glad you enjoyed it @LindsD

That reminds me that I think it was during lockdown that we had those Fetchie Desert Island Discs selections? I've got you to thank for first introducing me to 'White Wine in the Sun' via your selection then and consequently into Tim Minchin's wider catalogue. Finally got to see him live this week and loved it (of course White Wine was an encore).

Oh, that's nice. I really enjoyed seeing him live a few years back.

Vision Video again last night, this time in Leicester (The International) and did not disappoint. Different support this time: Black Rose Moves and Zeitgeist Zero. It was, I think, BRM's second gig. They sound very goth though don't really look it. Could do with a bit more chatting with the audience, but would be interesting to see them again in a few months/a year to see how they develop. Zeitgeist Zero were very polished, but have been around a while. Their singer is quite an accomplished filmmaker, and that's incorporated into the set. Again, very goth. Overall had a lovely evening, very enthusiastic audience, lots of dancing, and a pity there weren't more people there (c. 50?). Logistics good: there's a multistorey car park opposite the venue entrance.

Kaleidoscope festy at Ally Pally today.

Sleeper. On early, have not seen them before. Louise’s voice was never the strongest, now a bit shot but the 90s indie bangers came across well.

Good DJ set from Brandon Block on the cloud 10 stage.

Swerved Goldie and went to a Beatles - themed DJ set instead. Good fun.

Main stage headliners were Faithless. There’s obviously a massive hole where Maxi Jazz used to be but still a good set, despite 5 mins of downtime when the sound packed up.

In summary, I wouldn’t travel across town for this lineup but 20 mins from home on a sunny day… what’s not to like?

Sounds a good day out. I'd like to see Faithless.
