Lovely night for running, Starting pace felt fine, then come half way the tank was empty. Lack of training and a head cold to blame i think. Interesting new course slightly more undulating than previous years. 43rd out of 460+ runners
Didn't quite make my predicted time but no blimmin' wonder! 'Slightly' undulating and that long hill through the park was a killer. Still pleased with my time though (watch time). Last year was 56 something but then it was a completely different course.
Changed route from previous years and a hilly one. Enjoyed the race and was 13th overall and 4th vet. Had to work hard but pleased with run and the achilles didn't complain once on the hills which was reassuring. Great race and great evening for it.
My first ever race. Hard work when you're 16 stone.
1st time I ran the new course round Pittencrief Park
