Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker. I understand. No-one likes ads.

But our site costs money to operate, and I need to eat.

Please consider enabling ads for our website, or making a voluntary donation. If you donate, I can turn off the ads for you for a period of time. Average donations are about £3.50 per month, so a tenner would give you three months ad free.

Here's a link to our donation info.

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am fundraising for Velindre Cancer Centre

My father was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2009. Ever since then he has been looked after by the excellent staff at Velindre helping him to overcome it. Velindre where also excellent with a former running partner who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in 2007. He sadly passed away last year!

About Me

I have been running on and of since October 2005. I was inspired from my boss at the time taking part in Great North Run and Cardiff Half within 2 weeks. I have really caught the running bug, entering as many races as I can.

I finally got under 40mins for 10k at Castle Combe on 25/11/07. Had managed sub 40 10k splits in half marathons on 2 occasions previous to this!

Took part in my first Marathon in 2009, the Flora London Marathon! What a great experience! Was hoping for sub 4 hours, but due to swelling on the foot a fortnight before race, I was unable to train much! I ran the Virgin London Marathon in 2011 for the 2nd time, on a very hot Sunday morning. Again I was hoping for sub 4hours, but the heat got the better of me, finished in 4:03!

This year, I am running the Virgin London Marathon again! I am aiming for sub 3hrs 30mins this time. I have been training a lot harder than previous years, but also listening to my body to try and avoid those niggly injuries!!

I am raising money for Lifeblood - The Thrombosis Charity in memory of my Fiancee's Brother who passed away suddenly in August 2011 due to a blood clot on the lungs. He had turned 40 just 2 days before. My sponsor page is: justgiving.com
