Yamaa trust winter ultra.
Not sure of the time will have to check 5:30 - 6hrs I think.
First half of the run went well as I got to run with my mate Jo, then near the end of Ranoch Moor my guts started playing up and I had to nip into the trees as at this point there was a very clear & present danger of me soiling myself!
I returned to the trail feeling like a new man, pity that man was Dale Winton.
Felt a bit spewy the rest of the run so had to ease off a bit.
Interesting weather conditions for the 2nd part of the race.
Met a girl on the way in that was having a pretty tough time, so much so that she was going to give up ultras in favour of spinning & boxercise! I couldnt let this happen so I gave her some of the old Rabster patter which seemed to help and got her running again and we finished together, which sort of made my race and goes to show at Ultras you can have a great time even when your not having a great race
turns out she's a freind of my mate Ross who'd talked her into this. He's in trouble I think.
Great performances by Col on his ultra debut and Rhona who "chicked" me.
The Vics ultra squad are recruiting new members now.
Oo-Rah
well done rab, given your dodgy stomach and i'm blaming you for getting me into ultras.......cos it took a lot of arm twisting........NOT!
Ps enjoy your break
Great effort again mate, tempted to try the next one...
Well done, very impressive including the patter!
well done rab. Oh Rah indeed
Rampant intestines, TOWIE girls, snow, wind, rain etc - nothing can stop Rab!! X Factor next year?
