FrightenedMan My first DNF - I sprained my ankle at the top of the pine forest just after the steep descent bit. The medical support from the organisers was excellent. I rode home in style in the TA's 4x4.

The Plod Start to trig point in 36:00. Trig point to finish in 14:56 Very tough climb after about 1.5m which continues for about 1.6m. Once over the top of the mountain, its all down hill, very steep in parts and path is narrow. You have to be careful where you put your feet, very much best to wear something with good grip especially if its been raining recently (when does it not rain?!) Very freindly and realy nice local race, I would recommend it to anyone (who likes hills!). I will do it again next year but as I do a normal road 10k in about 40 minutes, this is not for PB's as I did it in 50:56.

The_Saint Quicker than last year although course was wetter, happy with that, also happy with my choice of footwear - Roclite 295. Touched the trig point in 37:50.
