Stovies First run on return to Glasgow. Out previous night and had so many folk say don't bother that it guaranteed me turning up in any state. Much more fun crowd than at the Manc 10ks and the joy of running over the Kingston Bridge faster than you can normally drive it was only surpassed by Jimmy Saville waving us on at its apex. purephase This will be my second race, the last one was a 5k which i ran with a chest infection, so i am hoping to get a good injury and illness free couple of months training in for this race. Aiming to get under 50 minutes but i have never ran this far so its a bit of unknown territory for me.
finished in a time that i was happy with, just outside what i was hoping to do but the heavy traffic of slower moving runners over the first 2k put an end to 50 minutes. but im happy to have just ran a 10k and gained that experience Greenock Glenpark Harriers 43:44 53:41 50:00 53:41 50.67

ctsw2001 My first ever proper run over any distance and what a run. Probably one of the hottest days of the year and a great course especially going across the Kingston Bridge.

Managed to get to half way before taking a breather and finished well under the pestimistc planned time. Unaffiliated 1:01:00 1:12:56 1:30:00 1:12:56 36.25
