Kew Ran with my Mum who was much better than I expected. By the end my legs hurt loads but not even out of breath so very happy. Beautiful course and very friendly marshalls made this a race I will certainly do again. Reading Joggers 2:48:08 2:58:02 3:46:30 44.67
Paulie Fantastic self-navigated trail race through beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, with gorgeous views and an almost endless variety of running surfaces. RuthB2 Run as last long training run pre marathon. Just hoping I don't get lost! *update* fantastic race, but not my greatest performance. Ran first 8 miles with Kew and her mum, went very well, then I dropped back a bit, and couldn't get momentum going again. 3 hills were very tough, mentally challenging being on your own for lots of the race, and thn at about mile 15 I tripped over a tree root, and ended up grazing my hands and elbows and winding myself! Not the best race for me, but lovely scenery, the friendlist marshalls ever and free tea and cake at the end. Will be back next year. Unaffiliated 2:52:52 4:06:55 4:06:55 40.90
