RFJ No PB here, want to get some speed back into legs after lay off........

Just back from BPTT 5K.

Aim was to keep under 7m miles and use as a guage to see how much I have lost through illness.

Answer - not too bad got round in 21:35 at an ave of 6:50m miles. A fair bit of PB pace but only a min of New years day time, so have to happy with that.

funkin Had a good run today, and spent almost all the race in with a “pack” of runners - don’t you just love the sound of someone breathing heavily right behind you to make you pick up the pace a bit! The ground was once again lovely and soft (!!) although it didn’t show from my time - 8 seconds up on last week. I finished in 40th place (out of 279 finishers) with a time of 19:46, my best time since Christmas day last year (yes, we raced on Christmas day!). Ranelagh Harriers, The Stragglers RC 18:04 18:04 20:00 19:47 65.65
Kirsty Seven seconds slower than last week.... Think I must have started too slow as was not feeling near death in last k - in fact was passing people and running quite strongly. If only I could do that and start a bit faster. Team Bushy 22:32 22:32 23:18 63.30
Puffing Bertie BPTT.....nice slow run with Shiraz :-) Unaffiliated 24:38 24:38 29:14 52.41
