Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

fetcheveryone: The glow from the various lights around the town is lovely. Is that done with a longer exposure time, or is there some magic filter, or how, how, how? I want to take a pic like that! :-) (I know it probably involves me moving to somewhere spectacular, but hey, it'd be worth it).

Blister: It looks like a longer exposer Fetch, see the lights below and how they are blurred, some are probably cars that have moved from one place to another during the exposer.

fetcheveryone: Blister - I thought that too - but some of the light sources look static, and yet still have a lovely warm glow. Makes me want to take pics :-)

CB.: I suspect that it is something to do with the white balance as well as exposure. With so much snow around it would have a tendency to warm the non - whites

Runs With Coyotes: Yep, it was a long exposure, a second, with no fancy filters or anything. The warm glow is the way it looks in real life. Snow is highly reflective. Thanks for all the comments. Get shooting Fetch! :-)
