bugger, that means I wont be able to do the BM!!
What if I tried a steady 2 or 3 miles on the treadmill and finished off on the X Trainer, and if they hurt stop straight away and go on the cross trainer instead.

HLS - you will be fine for brass monkey. I'd only done a 10k when I entered my first, I decided to do it at the start of January and ran it at the end of February.

Have you seen me on a 10k YP1! It aint a pretty site. I know I did the seven miler as well but that was hard work, mainly due to twisting something at mile 4 and hobbling the last three miles. Seven miles to thirteen miles is a hell of a jump, nearly double. BM have a time limit of three hours and I was hoping, by following the plan to do a 2:30 time, not looking good right now.
Does that mean I am sticking to the cross trainer again today then (like you two listen to SOD anyway :p)
Am still pretty pissed off at missing the Pickering and Moors 10k as this sounds much nicer race than the scabby seven miler which was mainly on a disused air field Hope you have a good time YP1 and it stops raining for you.
Still could be worse, we could be on a hill in the Lake District being called fun runners by the BBC

True.
Have just been out to put bags and trophies in the car, it's not that cold out there. However, I am fully prepared with a variety of clothing just in case I should get lost on the moors during my charity run and will decide what to wear when I get up there.
Stupidly excited about the prospect of doing a 10k. Fingers crossed it will be a lot less painful than the Woodland Challenge where I seriously considered pulling out at half way. It will be nice and steady, but should be a confidence boost if all goes to plan
See you later
