I always get slightly disorientated at races that start at schools when I try to use the loo before the start and end up on the kiddie size ones.

Is it just me, or are you obsessed with other people's wives at the moment, Dave?
Right, ahem, time for a complete newb's sort of question - well, two actually - a. can I still come along to the mile? I'm still very slow but I can ususally provide parkin. And b. how do I calculate what time to aim for? I generally bobble along at just under 10 minutes a mile, but know I've done closer to nine minutes when chav-dodging through Acomb (and possibly faster when they've nicked their Dad's golf clubs for the evening). Any suggestions? Ta!

I'm sure it's not too late to run (although you may miss out on a medal if they've already been ordered). HLS is in charge though so it's her decision! But parkin may help sway the decision...
