Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Where is there a parkrun with caravan site nearby?

A new one for both campers and open water swimmers started today: North Yorkshire Water Park, by Scarborough. parkrun.org.uk Two laps of the watersports lake along a compacted level gravel track.

Caravans, motorhomes and tents all welcome. Hard standing and serviced pitches. Sundry other aquatic pastimes, a zipwire, and a climbing wall. And if you pitch up on Friday, it's 🍕 and 🍺 night :-) northyorkshirewaterpark.co.uk

Welcome to the forums, dizzy068 :-)

For Scotland's newest ones, Forfar Loch has one (maybe two?) just by, handy as a stop just short of Braemar maybe. Arbroath (West Links) has a caravan park just across the road/railway (Red Lion) with touring pitches. Not sure if these are only caravans, or include motorhomes.

Weymouth, the rugby club is along side PR course and becomes a temporary caravan site throughout the summer months. For the swimmers then you also have the English Channel next to the run as well if that's "open" enough for you 🤣🤣🤣

Was going to put cleethorpes but see DeeGee has already put
No good to you, GM, but for anyone not from Northern Lincolnshire perusing this thread, Cleethorpes of course, has a caravan site a short walk along the beck from the run, and Market Rasen has a campsite at the racecourse.

As an update the showground campsite takes motorhomes now as does the Haven site (maybe about two miles from the Parkrun)

I'd like to do a bit more parkrun touristing, but also fitting it in with our motorhome travels...
