Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have that problem with some local pharmacies, though most are excellent.

Car is being mended so got train to work. First train home leaves 30 mins after I finish work. Sat around at work to kill time then went to station to find train cancelled and a further half hour to wait for next one. Once I factor in my half hour walk home at the other end of my journey, I've worked out that if I'd started off walking the minute I'd finished work, I'd have got home about the same time. And, they wonder why people don't use public transport.

On the up side, neither station I used has a ticket machine, so I put £1 in the permit to travel machine. Nobody came round on the train selling tickets so it was a cheap journey.

The fact that I ordered a gift from the US. Had to pay more for it to be delivered than the actual cost of gift which was annoying enough. Have now come home to letter from Royal Mail stating that I have to pay £17 customs charge to get it.

When a road is closed by a flood, the instruction to travel only if your journey is essential.

If the road is impassible, even an essential journey has zero chance of success.

The person who let their dog poo outside or house and didn't clear it up. Nearly as bad as the person who lets their dog poo on the green where the children play.
