What they think is 'Ooh, nice and quiet on the roads today, Gladys! We hear all these reports that the roads are busy, but we never see much traffic!'
They never look in the mirror, ever.
Hope this helps!

I used to get annoyed until I worked out that the difference between doing 10 miles at 50mph and 10 miles at 35mph is about 5 minutes. And, if you accept the situation, it is safer and more relaxed. Having said that, I do occasionally drive a very slow camper van and I am mindful that I get a build up of traffic behind me; I do pull over to allow them past (I sometimes go twice around a roundabout to give them a chance to get ahead).

It's the lack of consideration which boils my piss. If people want to drive slowly, that's fine, but they should be aware and prepared to move out of the way.

While we're on the subject of motoring (dons string-backed motoring gloves), can someone who does it please explain the logic, training, thought process, whatever that goes into driving in lane 2 of a motorway when when lane 1 is empty? Or, now that much of the M25 has been widened to four lanes, driving in lane 3 when lanes one and two are empty! Gear grindage of the highest order.
Moving out to anticipate traffic joining from a slip road is a valid reason. Anything else is just fuckwittery.

it is a manifestation of the current view, as proposed by Thatcher back in the day, that a lot of people have taken up.
Is that the most important person in the whole world is me, myself I.

All of the above. Along with lorry drivers who try to overtake each other on dual carriageways despite one going only 0.0000000001mph faster than the other. The one being overtaken could even just feather off a fraction to help the pass. But no...
