'fraid I like Chris Evans to my surprise, although Fridays get very fawning and wittery. Zoe Ball fine in short doses. Sara Cox needs to be sacked on the spot just for being the most irritating person on BBC Radio (even worse than Paul whingy scouser). I don't mind Ken Bruce, but absolutely agree on Jeremy Vine. His show is just the Daily Wail on the radio. Steve Wright is just so dull these days (well past his sell by date) but I like Simon Mayo. Please bring back Richard Allenson (?) as cover when Chris E is away.

Ken Bruce sound more and more like Terry Wogan these days. He needs to cut out the blarney gibberish and play more music. I find the odd 30 minutes of Jeremy Vine quite comforting in a strange sort of way. It sort of confirms my view that most people are stupid and therefore the human race deserves to die out. The same reason that I always vote for the Monster Raving Looney candidate. We're heading for the abyss anyway so I'd rather go over the edge with a smile on my face.
Steve Wright needs the plug pulling. In every way.
As for deliveries - think yourselves lucky. I usually get "Can't find the house" despite the fact that its marked on most OS maps and I include the Grid Reference on the delivery "extra information" box (Shows how much notice they take of that - non?). Either that or its "Too remote". As the crow flies its less than 15 miles to the centre of Sheffield. How is that remote?

Evans is a great broadcaster. Bruce, Vine and "Steve Wright in the Afternoon" really grind my gears. I'm not convinced Wright even likes music. The lad who works with him is good mind - Tim?

I like Chris Evans mostly, but he does get a bit much sometimes. As for the "holiday cover", I can just about tolerate Sara Cox and don't really mind Zoe Ball. Jeremy Vine's show is awful, like an audio Daily Mail / Jeremy Kyle show. I don't mind Ken Bruce, and I love playing along to Pop Master.
The ones that have me rushing to switch channels: Jeremy Vine R2 Vanessa Feltz R2 / BBC London Shaun Keveney 6Music.
As for Amazon, the cheeky bastards not only claim to have delivered my package at 1040 yesterday, but that Mrs Fitz signed for it. Difficult to believe, when she left the house at 0530! When I phoned to query, I got an email back including this:
"Please don't worry if your tracking states your parcel has been delivered but you don’t yet have it. It may have been left with a neighbour {NO} or in a nominated safe place {NO}. Sometimes a carrier will accidentally scan a parcel as delivered when it's still on the way. {Yeah, right, accidentally. Probably scared into falsifying records by a punishing delivery performance contract with Amazon} In these cases, we expect it to arrive within one business day."

I should exempt John Lewis from my remarks above. Excellent service. We once ordered a new washing machine from them, and the van was bottoming on the track. So they carried it the rest of the way AND took the old one away as well.

I have always switched off Steve Wright. This was the cause of some friction at Uni when a lad I shared with had Radio 1 on from dawn to dusk.
Currently I also detest Jeremy Vine (horrible programme, terrible voice), Liza Tarbuck and Paul O'Grady. I wish R2, a so-called music station, employed music lovers as presenters (you can't call them DJs any longer) instead of washed-up celebrities.
I may well have ranted on this subject before.
(I met Chris Evans a couple of times and was completely won over by him, he couldn't have been nicer).

I really don't like the way the BBC uses people from the corporation as guests on other presenters shows. R2 had John Innverdale on with Johnny Walker at the weekend

Enjoy Chris Evans - apart from a few gripes such as the Children In Need auction that is geared solely at the mega rich - then titled as being for the prizes money can't buy - well actually it's simply down to that. Also he's plugging his two festivals one titled CarFest north despite being in the southern half of the UK!

Chris Evans has got a bit better over the years. I didn't like his "look at me, I'm a presenter and I'm loaded" attitude when he started out.
