It's started to make me wonder if there's something weird about how the crossings are painted on the road, however on a bicycle I can clearly see them, but then I am local and used to them. It happened today when I was halfway across the crossing. A car with L plates appeared not to see me at all. It then immediately stopped in a queue, so I gave it a hard pat twice to let the driver know I was there! I can understand the learner making a mistake or panicking, but the passenger should have acknowledged me and apologised. They both appeared not to see me to be honest.

There is an optician right by the crossing - maybe they need to visit. Which leads me on to another thing that happened. A chap parked his car on zig-zags by the same crossing last week and his bumper was over the black & white stripes of the crossing. I seriously think some people out there shouldn't be driving. Bristol's got green city for next year apparently. How? The 'public' transport is dire and that's why a lot of people are forced to drive when they're scared and incompetent.

Almost as bad are people who hold the door open for a ridiculous time while waiting for someone to join them. Spare a thought for those of us in the draught.
