Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Poochie - have been meaning to post the Sky menu background music here for a while. Since they switched from the Christmas music it's been a lot louder and more "aggressive" than it it was last year. I now routinely mute the TV before going into menu mode

Poochie and TR - you need to upgrade your box (I'm guessing you don't have a Sky HD box). Then you get what seemed the obvious thing to me all along, which is the sound of the channel you were just on, plus a little picture in picture in the top RH corner showing the channel too.

You don't need to pay the extra £10pcm for an HD subscription, just have the HD box with a standard SD subscription. Of course, not much need to do this just for the sake of the background music... (my SD box died, so I bought a replacement. IIRC, it was only about 80 quid?)

Why post 'feeling defeated' on Facebook and then respond to all the 'what's up?' messages that you were fishing for with 'I'll tell you when I see you'. It's two people who do this nearly every day. I stopped commenting ages ago.

I normally would, but it's a family member so I just breathe deeply and ignore the annoying posts.

:: Carp, you can hide them from your news feed though so you don't have to see them routinely though, and just look at their page when you're feeling tolerant enough ::

Winter Olympics #2......The GB ( Scottish ) women's curling team ....Obv stung by the " dinner ladies " jibes of a couple of Olympics back , they have gone for the provincial makeover look - all straight hair and full warpaint on at all times ....Not a good look ...

The Skip of the Russian team doesn't look like a typical curler though!
