Then you get what seemed the obvious thing to me all along, which is the sound of the channel you were just on, plus a little picture in picture in the top RH corner showing the channel too. You don't need to pay the extra £10pcm for an HD subscription, just have the HD box with a standard SD subscription. Of course, not much need to do this just for the sake of the background music... (my SD box died, so I bought a replacement. IIRC, it was only about 80 quid?)
