"Awight my tweacle!", was my granddad's favourite catchphrase when Eastenders first started. Odd coming with a Bolton accent, and intensely irritating after the first two times.

old mum Jul 2013 10:25pm, 3 Jul 2013 580 posts	Quote Pin old mum My OH regularly calls me dear, and I must admit, for several weeks I flinched (we were new and passionate, a de-bollocking would have been detrimental to the rabbit style activity), then I noticed he calls his daughter dear too. It's just his thing and I've learnt to not flinch anymore. However, when he started calling me 'doll', with a Rab C accent, I drew the line awfully fast.
