Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I guess you could have politely asked them to scan it in the order it was on the conveyer belt and to handle the goods a bit better.

It's not as though it's a one-off, it appears to be standard practice!

You know what really grinds my gears?

Teaching my missus to drive a manual. ;-)

Go to an older checkout operator, they understand much better. The young ones don't seem to have a clue, or at least it seems a rare occasion to find one.

Self-service checkouts. We do the work and waste our time, they increase their profits.

That would take uncanny powers, philbo. I can picture the job advert: Baby drowners required, must be able to see fifteen years into the future.

I like the self service checkouts but then I don't really like having to speak to people sometimes.

Hate self-service. I should get a discount for using them. Feel sorry for the till staff being done out of a job :/

I hate people who are really bad at using them so I'm waiting in the queue. It really isn't that hard :)
