Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Automated phone calls from PPI claims companies. Or even worse, automated calls from firms who can write off my debts. No thanks, if I want to foul up my credit score, I can do it without help.

"Fitz - they do have the right to pull out. There's a bit in the Highway code that says you should let them. "

Wobbling, most of the Highway Code is guidance, not law. The bits covered by law all say "you MUST" or "you MUST NOT." Round here we have signs on the back of buses saying something like "new Highway Code rule 179 - give way to buses pulling out" but it's not a rule or a right covered by law.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for courtesy to other road users but our local bus drivers are certainly treating it as their right to just puill out when it isn't.

[realise I have exposed myself as a Highway Code geek]

Fitz - if you feel that strongly about it perhaps a phone call to the bus garage might be an idea.

I do not possess the self control not to eat both bags today!

I bloody hate multi buy offers. A typical example is I normally buy product X for £1. They put it on multi buy and I can get 1 for £1.50 or 2 for £2. You have to buy 2 if you want the same value as it used to be when you bought one.
I can't remember the last time I bought a single bottle of diet coke.

Wobbling - no, I don't feel *that* strongly about it... just enough to moan about it on here! ;-)

Co-op ATMs. "We like to save paper where we can. Would you like a receipt?". Well yes, please, I would. But instead you provide me with enough to wipe my moon. Hardly saving paper, that...

Which reminds me of a MAJOR annoyance - that condescending little note in hotels about how re-using towels will 'help us save the planet we care about together' etc.

Nothing to do with their dry cleaning bill then?

(FWIW I always re-use towells, just don;t like the accompanying lies to get me to do something I do anyway.)

Having just calculated and drafted 10 cheque requests, 10 R185 tax certificates, 10 forms of receipt and 10 covering letters, all for tiny amounts, I have developed a distinct dislike for anyone who makes a will leaving "10% of my estate to my grandchildren and greatgrandchildren in equal shares" - Probably sounded perfectly simple and reasonable at the time....
