Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People in my (very large) workplace who say to me that they've returned specific forms for manual inputting and asking why haven't they been inputted from last month. When i ask when they put them in the post they say it was on the last working day of the month. So they expect it to get through an incredibly complex internal mail system (or even sometimes via RM and then our internal system), get to my office, and be manually inputted all on the same day...

Meetings that get cancelled at the last minute when you've spent a lot of time preparing for them, collecting data that will need updating for the rescheduled occurence.

David Beckham getting a knighthood. Something that he and his wife have been craving for years. Scores a goal from the halfway line and suddenly he's considered to be the best thing England have ever had.

Apart from a free-kick against Greece, I can't think of anything out of the ordinary he's done. Don't mention that penalty against Argentina as a lot of people can hit the net from 12 yards. First player to get sent off twice playing for England, maybe?

All he's done since retiring is to turn up at the 2012 Olympics and get a seat in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. Basically, anything to set his face on TV.

Cowboy/Country & western culture.

Cowboy films, Jonny Cash is acceptable. But the seep of horrid 'cod western' tinged music and all it brings hurts my ears. And why are women obsessed by wearing cowboy hats when they go on a Hen do.

It needs to be cut out of our culture and sent back over the pond.

People who believe that the hand luggage directions from airlines are mere suggestions and that 1 bag + personal item = 1 case, 1 laptop bag plus another bag.

Business people seem to be the worst, pretending that they're so busy and important that they can't wait for checked baggage.

signed, business person who travels and isn't that important

The thing to also remember about the Greece game is that he missed 5 (6? 7?) free kicks during the game before that. And sherringham dived to win it in the first place.
