Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I can't believe the number of car drivers who don't know their own car lights.

Daily, I see several cars driving with front lights only - clearly the drivers haven't bothered to check what switches they need for both front & rear.

Mushroom. I think they believe it’s optional to use them as well as indicators, however a horn must be used at all times of the day or night and if there is any drizzle or mist the fog light must be on and left on for the foreseeable future !

I didn’t know that there are vehicles that have separate controls for front and rear lights. I assumed that they come on together.

I thought front and rear fog lights were independent on all vehicles? You need the rear ones on in mist, but only need the front ones on in thicker fog. In the thickest fog it can be better to have dipped beam only at the front because the bright lights just reflect back.

I learned years ago how to put on the fog lights, and needing them for the second time today, I'd forgotten how.

My car has running lights on the front only, if that was what Mushroom meant.

I also can’t remember where the controls for the fog lamps are as I need to use them so rarely 🙈

Turning on the foglights on our car requires you manipulate the lever like a masonic handshake

Never quite worked out the fog lights on my car: must have a look in the manual
