Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My sodding football club , big day, and one of the fans runs on the pitch and punches the star opposition player, riling him enough to score the winner. Yeah well done, everyone hates us once again because of some of the animals that follow us.

Chrisull, I still remember the pitch invasion at Selhurst Park in 1989.

Yes, I was there for that, last away game of the season, Birmingham already relegated. Supporters completely pissed up before KO, pitch invasion and battle. Was that the one where some of the fans were in fancy dress?

Yes, 1989, Adolf Hitler getting a beating, a boy being chased across the pitch by Spider-Man. Surreal.

Can I have my lungs back, please?
Or at least, a decent shot of oxygen?

I was standing at the Sainsbury's end, and Palace were 4-0 up at half-time. We were thinking that we could pip Man City for second on goal difference as they were losing at Bradford.

Thanks to the Birmingham fans, we discovered that Man City had equalised late on and we still had 30 minutes left to play due to the pitch invasion. The match petered out into a dull finale as Birmingham were already going down and Palace were consigned to the play-offs (which we won, of course).

That despite nagging them every day, my children never get their lunch boxes and water bottles out of their school bags when they come in.

Comic Relief describing a climb up Kilimanjaro as “the toughest ever”. The mountain hasn’t changed since the last lot of slebs did it.....yes it’s a challenge but it doesn’t get harder each year
