1) That any kind of event that a person does (i.e running events/swimming/cycling etc) is now almost by default expected to be being undertaken to raise money for charity rather than just because a person wants to get fit or they just fancy doing it. I've started doing Open Water swimming and I've had more than a few folk ask me what I'm training for (nothing) and who I'm raising money for (I'm not) and then react like I'm a dick because I'm not raising money.
2) When these kind of big events are televised so much of the programme ends up being emotional stories where people have overcome illness/disability/death of a loved one and are doing said event in their memory and to raise money for their hospice or whatever.
Whilst these stories are laudable and I do respect these people, I just want to see the event I tuned in to watch and I don't want to be feeling depressed as f**k because of all the sad things that have happened to these people. I watched a show last night and about 50% was the emotional guilt-trip stories. Just let me watch the event FFS!

Anniversaries...5 years since this, ten years since that...bring out all the old news footage, live through it all again, and again, wallow in the grief (that usually isn't ours), wallow in the glory (that usually isn't ours) from yesteryear, because nothing significant is happening today.

1. Being lied to. 2. Companies that, having made a mistake, hide and refuse to deal with customers instead of seeing an opportunity to put stuff right and build better relationships. [The above may be related, and cutting off a Customer Services call before speaking to the customer makes it even worse]

Fragile Do Not Bend
I don't understand why someone who, having had crippling morning sickness with her first two pregnancies, goes on to put herself through having a third? After all, they have an heir and a spare.
(Bear in mind I'm a person who doesn't see the point of children at all 😄)

I thought exactly the same thing Fragile. There is no need for a third one! I also thought of that MP who criticised poor people for having children they can't afford to look after, does that extend to Royal Children that we also pay for?
