Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have both a boiling water tap and kettles at work. A lot of people prefer the kettles but I am happy to use the boiling water tap so I don't have to wait so long before I can actually drink my coffee.

Arseholes that smoke while standing next to a no smoking sign. Usually in a doorway.

Smokers that light up under a 'we are proud to be a non smoking site' banner at the hospital are downright rude!

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (who do brilliant work and were once my chosen charity for a sponsored 10K) have a snazzy new strapline on all their promotional material and the tail of the helicopter - "SAVING LIVES EVERYDAY".

I wonder how many people with A* English GCSEs saw it during production, while there was still time to catch the mistake. :(

My Chromebook's latest update which renders the scrollbar both invisible until scrolling with the keys and almost impossible to grasp. I'd call it a step back, except I've never used a computer that did this.

[We just came back from a holiday where there was a coffee machine, no teapot, and NO KETTLE :-o
Every single day we boiled water in a saucepan on the hob for our tea. Nothing gets in between my family and a cup of tea!]
