Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

In fact there is a whole nother rant about having a different surname from your kids. I'd probably run out of screen ink before I finished ranting though!

The constant requests to type 'Amen' to hopefully cure someone of some life threatening disease on FB, that grinds my gears

When you're at somebody else's house and they offer to make you a cup of tea but keep chatting after the kettle boils, so you're stood there politely smiling and nodding but thinking "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU DIDN'T YOU HEAR THE CLICK WHAT ARE YOU DOING LETTING IT SIT THERE GOING COLD OH NOT IT'S TOO LATE THE TEA IS GOING TO BE RUINED THERE SHOULD BE A SPECIAL LEVEL OF HELL FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU".

The almost inevitable '...and your email address?' at the till of any shop. I've just bought a packet of knickers, if I wanted to be bombarded with spam I'll let you know.
I think it's that they assume you are going to give it rather than ask.
