Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

4 miles in, unlike South Downs this one is only going to have running miles.

Enjoy the journey everyone.

13.2 miles in and in 2nd place, don't think I'll be staying that high up when the marathon runners start logging :)

Might not happen, Minimag! Although Monday is traditionally a quieter day for runners, I reckon most participants will have wanted to register some miles on Day 1. This website produced several Top Ten finishers on the SWCP last year IIRC.

Thanks, HellsBells! Did you visit any other film locations?

This route takes us to a forest near Wellington that was used for some of the Rivendell filming and also ends at Mount Ngauruhoe, possibly via other locations too ...

Just logged my first run of the month, 3.6 miles, but like Rosehip I'm surprised to see it has includes not only this morning's walk but also some steps.

When I did GVRAT I stuck to just running. I'm not sure about the walking but I definitely don't want me pottering around the house to count too.

How do you change it? (I'm using the Garmin link btw)

I don't know how to change it - but it did let me hit the little x and delete the one I spotted.

It didn't happen when I linked to the SWCP via strava - but I keep my strava feed private on upload and go in and make followers only the ones I want for the challenge I switched to Garmin to avoid having to do that that - maybe I'll have to switch back.

I’m not sure if you can turn it off from the user side. I’m testing the platform out for a fundraiser at the moment and found the same, that steps push through from Garmin outside the activities. The administrator can decide whether steps count or not, and it must be set to accept them.
Easiest way might be to set up Garmin to push to strava or something else that will only take the activities, and then have that push to myvirtualmission.

You can delete the steps if you want - looks as though they come over in one block for the full day outside activities. You’ll see them listed at the bottom of the leaderboard page if you filter down to your own activities, and the cross in the top right corner of the activity block lets you delete it.

I also can't work out how we "follow" each other on the route - I'm sure it was simple for the SWCP
