Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That sounds interesting Gordon - I'd be tempted if I was in the area. Must be compelling to go back and see what the next actor has to do, or how they perform the same story..!

We went to watch a play in Leeds recently - A Raisin in the Sun. I think it's just finished a few weeks in London but if it's on tour then it's well worth a ticket.

I really wanted to see that. There were loads of people I wanted to see but I came to it late and all the tickets were ££££

My son saw Matilda while still at primary school. My daughter is a big fan or the film versions and any stage shows/songs that she can find on YouTube. That will probably be a birthday present for her next year.

Incidentally, should this thread be for proper professional performances only or are pantos and amateur dramatics allowed?

After my query the other week my fiance picked and booked Back to the Future. We both really enjoyed it, the second half was definitely better than the first (some musical numbers felt a bit shoehorned in) and the special effects were brilliant.

I loved the whole car/lightning sequence, Doc going up the stairs was just brilliant and it really felt like the car was moving.

Constantly amazed at how special effects work in theatre. We’re so used to CGI on films when you see ‘real’ effects they’re so impressive. The magic tricks in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child were just brilliant.
