Hello ![]() For those of you who have TomTom watches, you are very welcome to try out the new automatic import method, which you can find here: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/tomtom How it works: 1) Click the link, and you're invited to give Fetch authorisation to get your data from TomTom 2) You're taken to the TomTom website, where you give your agreement to this When you next visit the above link: 1) You'll be given a list of all training entries that you have stored on the TomTom website, with 'Import' links against all that can be imported. 2) Click the import buttons, and the training entries will be queued up for import into the Fetch database, and you should see them in your training log within a minute or so. This is a first stab at getting this working - so please be patient, and report your issues on this thread. When I've ironed out any bugs with this system, I'll make it available in the site menus, so you won't have to come to this thread to find it. And I'd also like to add a button that says "add all new training automatically", so that Fetch would check the TomTom database periodically for new stuff, and import it without you having to lift a finger. But first things first. So far, TomTom have only implemented GPX files - which is why it doesn't allow me to automatically import my pool swims yet, or any indoor activities - but I'm assured that it's on the radar. Thanks ![]() |

All that stuff you've just written (on forum and in code) is really good news fetch, thank you!

this is super exciting because while I love my new TomTom, getting the stuff over to Fetch is a bit of a faff - love the idea that it will just monitor MySport! ![]() |

OK - on first test, there seems to be some disparity between the times/distances in the data on MySports, and the data imported - I have left both entries in my training log (2nd June, 29, 30, 31st May) for you to look at to see what I mean. I believe my log is open to view. I manually copied across the times/distances for those runs (ie typed them in, not based on a GPX file) as I had uploaded them to MySports via the mobile app and there is no visible "export" facility from the website. If you sync the watch with the desktop, then it creates those GPX files to then go find with Fetch. Hope that makes some sense - any questions let me know Simon |

p.s. I see they have added an "export" option against each training item now (that didn't used to be there!)

Distances and times are coming direct from the GPX files that get retrieved from the TomTom database - I think my GPX interpreter just uses the first and last points in the file. I think they're adding TCX support pretty soon - I think that'll have more extensive data in it.

OK - so the GPX doesnt recognise any "pausing to admire the view" etc (which granted on the last run we did) - that makes sense - looks good! TCX might accommodate such frivolity I assume? all very exciting. |
