But even if you're wearing a face mask you could still have bare arms and legs to get your sun exposure. And you only need to wear the face mask on public transport and in crowded spaces so you could take it off for general out and about stuff.

LMH - my dentist isn’t doing any routine treatment, just seeing the urgent cases - I felt a bit of a fraud as it is a root canal molar that broke (side wall gone) which has damaged my gum and tongue. They wanted to check it as the wall broke below the gum line.
Linds - no drilling as they used a temporary filler. Fortunately the tooth doesn’t have any nerves!! just a big chunk of very sharp metal from many years ago. We just need to see how long it lasts for and whether it preserves the tooth enough to be capped, otherwise I will need to go on the extraction list. It saves stuffing it with sugar free gum every day!

Glad to see the Abbott test - I know someone who was working on that, but haven't spoken to her for ages nor heard anything about it, so was not optimistic. This is very good news if it's working

Ultra Sparkly Bridget (USB)
We have been wearing masks in clinical areas since late March. This includes when in the office or at the nurses station but not on our breaks. Sometimes it isn't too bad and you almost forget you have it on (like the time I put a full FFP3 one on, went to test the seal and realised the reason it wouldn't seal was because I was still wearing the other one). Other times you get overheated and sweaty very quickly. I certainly wouldn't consider running in one.
On another earlier point regarding calls from a withheld number. Any call that originates from a hospital will show as unknown because no matter which extension is used the number displayed would be the switchboard number. When health visiting the reception staff at the health centre would get people ringing because they had missed a call but who couldn't (or wouldn't) give an idea of who might have tried to call them. If the call goes to answerphone we can only leave a message if the phone clearly belongs to the person we are calling and 99% of the time it doesn't

Max effort racing in mask. Not quite so outrageous...

Larkin - I beg to differ. I’m sorry but anyone who thinks that should become normal I just don’t understand.

Do you ever get tired of being called Larkin, Larkim? (sorry, just have noticed this a lot when lurking..)
Vit D availability is one of those things that is more complex than it looks - we do lose the ability to synthesize Vit D naturally as we age, but there are other factors as well

JR that might just have to be a generational difference cos when children are wearing them and get used to wearing them, you will be able to tell them a time when we didn't use them.
It will just be like wearing another piece of clothing and women don't have to spend sooo long doing their make up - they can wear a real mask instead
