Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Keep up the consistency, as you're doing EPix ; you seem to have laid down a good period of training even if you haven't done more than five miles per session. An easy 7 miles and an 8 a week after could give you the confidence for the ten. I'm sure that 10 won't be a problem as long as you don't go hell for leather.
Pity you had to ditch your runs Lesley but ice ain't nice. Wise woman.
Those HR figures make me wince at the moment hs! Great effort on hills.
You're undoubtedly right gg, the target is looking more than improbable as each non running day goes by for me! It's just too bad but one never knows!

EP, I ran the Bramley 20 miler in 2013, as a training run with a friend who had been accepted for the London Marathon. She wanted a long run.😀 .Good advice from Steve not to start off hell for leather. If my memory serves me right, it's not very hilly, but I think there was a fairly long one at around 7 miles.

Well done for consistent running. The miles are adding up.

Thanks Steve, we put a lot of effort on the hills. There was no recovery between each, except for jogging back down.

I hope you will soon be back running again, once you have received your heart results.

Think I did it in 2009 or maybe earlier and yes I remember a very long slope!

I had my first nosebleed on the way round, ask the ambulance for a tissue, had to fill out a 3 page form to get a tissue! They then followed me to the finish asking if I wanted to stop!

Good luck with your race EP. I took a tumble today first one since I broke my arm 3 years ago. So although sore relived not to have broken anything. On the bench for a few days. We can catch up Steve.

Good luck EP the level you’re at now you’ll smash it.

Sorry to hear the Loo I hope you’re ok and no long lasting issues.

I went to club - almost bottled I won’t lie but absolutely loved it. Amazed how many people know who I am when I never go - obviously too noisy on SM 🤣

We did a group donation ti the local foodbank postponed from pre Xmas and we did so well.

EP, I'm sorry to hear that you suffered a nose bleed whilst running in the Bramley, and having to fill out a 3 page form before being given a tissue. Crazy, wasn't it 😁

LL, I'm sorry to hear that you took a tumble, but glad that nothing was broken. Was it from running on icy roads?

GG, I'm glad that you enjoyed the evening club session.

That was good, doing a group donation to the local foodbank. Our local parkrun did something similar a few weeks ago, when we were all asked to bring food products which would be donated to the local Hospice food bank.

This morning was the coldest for some time and the pavements were icy. I didn't run, but walked cautiously to the supermarket to buy a paper.

It was crazy in a fun way! But being tailed by the ambulance was soooo embarrassing!

You have been my inspiration for Not Giving Up ever since then, EvilPixie. It was back in the FFF days on RW, so 2003, 2004 or thereabouts?
