Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The 9:59 mile thread. How hard can it be?

I think you will have run 425m in your fast section today. So faster than 10mm 😃

Gimme is correct, (I say pompously)

... That's a great start Alice. The 2.5 minutes were a lot faster than you need for a 9:59 mile. You held 9:22 pace for a whole 2.5 minutes.

Someone mentioned Fetch mile events - how do I find out where these are?

To put it another way - you ran over a quarter of a mile at 9:22 min miling. You've already proved your legs (-and lungs) can handle that pace, as 2.5 minutes is a substantial amount of time. Longer than any sprint - which is why I will find it taxing!

Well done Alice. Do let me know which button is the Lap button when you find it too in the vain hope that it may also be the same button on my Garmin too ;-)
