Now I notice the beginnings of a rash. I do not feel ill, maybe tired from running 18 miles today. Could this be shingles? And is it okay to run through it if I feel okay. I promise to avoid body contact with vulnerable folk.

I once worked for a consultant who ran a marathon with shingles. He died. But there were several years between these two events.

I have had a dull ache on my side/hip since the night before Smokies, didn't feel well on Saturday but felt fine on Sunday so went and ran 14 miles. Went to work on Tuesday and showed a doctotr what I thought was midgie bites to be told its shingles. I feel okay running and been to curves twice this week.
