Thanks for that - I suspected something similar with respect to the other car parks. We'll have another look at the maps with that advice in mind.

I'm gonna have a crack at getting in the Victoria embankment car park....will need to be there early as I'm sure it'll fill up quickly. I used when "H" ran it a couple of years ago. The location was perfect, a very short walk to the village / start and no need to worry about baggage etc.

Oi! I'll be helping in the baggage tent so there's no need to worry about that

This isn't Manchester ;-)

I've parked at the Victoria Embankment the last couple of times. Just got to work out how long it will take me to get there "in plenty of time" to determine what stupid o'clock will look like on Sunday!

I parked in the County Hall car park last year, very handy, just across the river from the start. Had no problems leaving, but then it does take me a long time to run a marathon, so a lot of other people had gone by the time I left.

To be fair, it's only an hour and three-quarters from Grimsby, but arriving in time to make sure I get in the appropriate car park, then have time to take on and eject hydration and nutrition...

Better safe than sorry.
