Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nah, you need to vote Lib Dem *only* if it's the only chance of not getting a Tory in. Otherwise, Labour, surely (in England and Wales). In Scotland Tories really aren't a problem!

Matt S (Terminator?) posted on FB a Times MPR poll with CONs 60 seats up? Anyone seen that one? :-) G

Yes that poll has maybe prompted the change of strategy for Labour in the press today?

Pound reacted well to that.

HG, yes of course it depends on the local situation. In any non-tory seat, vote for the incumbent. In an tory seat, vote for their closest challenger - usually, whoever came 2nd last time, but there are exceptions. That voting advice should cover the vast majority of sane people in two simple sentences.

The polls are showing the Tory candidate ahead in our seat, so any vote which not for his direct opposition, will help to let him back in.

(though of course there are plenty of seats where it honestly doesn't matter who you vote for, so you can vote for whichever party best represents your views)

Labour had already started the ball rolling with their new strategy based on their own research - interestingly they found that the Lib Dem vote is not as big a threat as thought but that Labour heartlands are more in danger of voting Tory than originally thought. So now they will send out Labour leave figures around the midlands rather than Corbyn himself to try and make their core vote hold up.

BoJo hiding from interviews won't do him any favours, but still a sensible move given that they seem to have everything to loose.

And those 10 or so Tory seats in Eastern Scotland could still be pivotal.

Why are Labour voters voting Tory? Brexit. Why else, Cobyn's total lack of leadership, prevarication and shifting position....obvs..

Brexit election all along. Was always going to be.

Why is Bojo not doing the interview. He has no need. Corbyn has done his work for him.

Ah well.

"...I hear the snp lost a court case brought by the Lib Dem’s over some fake news claims against her..."

Simbil, appallingly "spun" news rather than full-on "fake" news, I'd suggest.

The SNP leaflet claimed Ms Swinson had accepted a £14K donation from a fracking company. In reality, she did accept £14K, but although the company do hold a fracking licence, they're not actually involved in fracking and, in any case, the donation came from the company owner personally, not from the company itself.

Ms Swinson was right to challenge it and it was right that she won the case. Interestingly, though, she only asked that the leaflet not be distributed in the constituency she's standing for.
