Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sharing an article I found interesting. Take away was how, when we consider the growth of economies over last decade or so, a 1% growth rate in NL today is same growth in income per capita as 3% a decade ago.

I don't understand that even as a concept YC! How can 1% be equivalent to 3%?! Will read with interest and hope I can get my brain round it! :-) G

It said 3% decades ago, 3% of something considerably smaller is the same as 1% now.

3% of 100 is 3
1% of 300 is 3

Simple Arithmetic.

You do need to know the actual sizes of the economy to check if this person is talking bollocks though.
