Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

2 years in phone terms isn't really that new. They aren't made like the old nokia bricks.

Maybe see if someone else can use it without issue. Unless you get someone else to try it you won't know if it is the phone or not.

when I hold it in my left hand... Which is now so painful, after using it for about an hour, I have to put it down and away...

Arthritis? Sounds plausible when you also say you're experiencing numbness and tingling.

No, it is EMF radiation from the phone! I only have these issues when holding the phone, hence not wanting to hold it.
I have ordered a large SIM card from EE so I can go back to an old "dumb phone". They didn't emit anything that caused issues...

I had hoped to use this phone as a tablet for use at home but it looks like I have to fire up the aged laptop if I want to Fetch or check emails and stuff.
Annoying!

Testing things again and put the phone on a cushion on my lap. It won't work if I just type with my right hand.
However: it works when I put one finger of my left hand on the phone! It really does seem to need 2 contact points. I am barely touching it, and it won't work when I loose contact... Anyway: this is better than holding it or resting it directly on my thigh although I can feel it in my finger tip.

It really does sound like your phone is broken or may have a short of some kind.

I am going to let others use it, see how they get on with it. It has been suggested it is the glass screensaver...

About This Thread

I am EMF sensitive... I know, I didn't really believe in it either but now I do as, without EMF emitting stuff, my debilitating symptoms are gone.
I have to use a laptop or smartphone though, just to be able to.participate in daily tasks like filing my Confirmation Statement.
So, I try not to have an emf emitting device actually on my body but I do not seem to be able to use my Motorola G8 without either holding it or resting it on my thigh? It seems to need "grounding" through my body fo...
