2 years in phone terms isn't really that new. They aren't made like the old nokia bricks. Maybe see if someone else can use it without issue. Unless you get someone else to try it you won't know if it is the phone or not. |

when I hold it in my left hand... Which is now so painful, after using it for about an hour, I have to put it down and away... Arthritis? Sounds plausible when you also say you're experiencing numbness and tingling. |

No, it is EMF radiation from the phone! I only have these issues when holding the phone, hence not wanting to hold it. I have ordered a large SIM card from EE so I can go back to an old "dumb phone". They didn't emit anything that caused issues... |

I had hoped to use this phone as a tablet for use at home but it looks like I have to fire up the aged laptop if I want to Fetch or check emails and stuff. Annoying! |

Testing things again and put the phone on a cushion on my lap. It won't work if I just type with my right hand. However: it works when I put one finger of my left hand on the phone! It really does seem to need 2 contact points. I am barely touching it, and it won't work when I loose contact... Anyway: this is better than holding it or resting it directly on my thigh although I can feel it in my finger tip. |

It sounds broken. Perhaps it is it quietly electrocuting you, seriously

Cerid, that could be possible but, it has always been quite literally a pain?

It really does sound like your phone is broken or may have a short of some kind.

I am going to let others use it, see how they get on with it. It has been suggested it is the glass screensaver...
