Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

SO tempted by Cotswold Marathon Sunday 19th February...

It's not that mad... is it?

There are loads of runners who run marathons back to back... and this isn't even back to back it's back to 4 week gap (catchy)

May be another good 'experiment'... what does everyone think?

I suggest you should run it wearing a bright pink tutu shouting ME ME ME look at ME ME ME for the entire distance. Then come and ask everyone here why you didnd't get a pb, and completely ignore all the contributions.

I did it two years ago after running a good time at Gloucester two weeks earlier. If i'd known how tough it was i might have had second thoughts
about it. There is a big hill that you go 3 times and my legs had not recovered enough to do well. Beautiful scenery though and great company

so if you feel positive about yourself then go for it. Good luck. :)

D2D, at any rate;
a) I'd cramp your style, being significantly slower than you, and
b) I'm building back to a half after suffering a heart complications after my first mara last June.

But cheers for the offer, anyway.

Frobby - I'll let you off. But don't make a habit of it ;)

Blackbird - Thanks for the honesty. Good that I can enter on the day so have a few weeks to decide. Seems a beautiful course and a waste to lose marathon fitness. Given that I still had energy in the tank when I finished Gloucester, I just have an urge to run this for some reason...

You'd better watch out if you have got that
" an urge to run this for some reason " feeling.
That is how it started with me.
