Marathon not until 25th Jan. 5k's are a regular part of the training program. You take the average time from them to predict your marathon time.

ok, maybe not time, but for setting speed training pace (mile repeats). Anyway if you do lots of them and take the average, thats gonna give a better indication than one half marathon. Plus you recover so much quicker.

I guess you do what you think is right mate.
As for the pace of your mile repeats, guess it depends what you are trying to get from them.
I do lots of half marathons etc.:¬)
