Hey guys Enjoyed the first 2/3. It was firmer than I expected so changed the trail shoes to roadies at half way so I can say with authority having done it with both, this is a road shoe course Last 1/3 was utter misery, rain and knackered. Came in at 5.10ish, slightly disappointing as was hoping for sub 5. Doubtless be back next year. I wonder if they will have moved the burnt out car by then

Job done NID well done. The rain must have been an extra challenge at that point. My hands have never been so cold throughout a race. I wear old socks on my hands (which normally get binned after a few miles) over thin gloves for extra warmth and yesterday they stayed on until the finish. |
