Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm not sure - I usually like the changes but this one doesn't quite work at the moment. I like that there are a lot more blogs on view. I don't mind the featured blogs at the side. I think it needs dividing into days again. Maybe.

Perhaps we just need time to get used to it?

As a blog a dayer I miss the division between today & yesterday. I don't always remember the titles of the ones I've read. I tend to use favourites for the bloggers I like who *don't* blog every day otherwise there are too many notifications.

Yeah, me too AL. My 'favourites' are just infrequent bloggers I really like. Three or four of my other favourites are daily bloggers anyway so I won't miss their blogs.

Perhaps I need to go to jazzy view- but I'm a minimalist and it's a bit too pic heavy for me.

I know I sound hard to please but list view looks like a text book and jazzy view looks like infant school cloakroom pegs!

None of it really matters of course.

Gets on with life.

Sorry PH, should have said if your in list view you will see the time the blog was written over in the right hand side. Right at the top of that is the toggle to switch between list and jazzy.

Tried both views - still miss the division between today & yesterday though.

Thirded :-), there are so many blogs currently, that I like to look at what has been written today, so I like the today/yesterday split. I have preffered blogs, but I occasionally dip into to others... just in case, especially ones with fruity titles

I had never noticed there was a division between the days in the old layout :-o

BUT... I can't cope with jazzy view because I do like a nice orderly list in the order in which they were written
although now..(and I realise this may be more to do with me than the site) The text is so SMALL. Is this all part of the same hidden agenda that I have noticed among food packaging, newsprint, maps etc telling me that it is time to go to Specsavers.....;-)

I've just spotted the "blog by email" button in the header - that's a good addition!

Baroness, I'd noticed the smaller text too but was too vain to admit it!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
I'm usually neutral or pleased by site changes, but this is the first one I actively dislike.

I like to be able to click on my own blog without going to the 'your blog' tab, and now it's not highlighted (high lit?) in any way.
