It can't be long before we hear from Hazel again. A reasonable amount of time has passed since June Spencer died to mean it wouldn't be in poor taste for Peggy to pop her clogs. And her will is almost certainly going to be one that runs and runs. She is bound to have changed it without any of them knowing about it since she has been in The Laurels.

Left it all to a cat's charity because Hilda was such a wonderful pet? 😂

Spent it all to cryogenically freeze herself to return in the future to boss Tom and Helen's grandchildren about?

The cricket story is, as always, pulling my chain at the moment. It’s mid-March. No village club starts fixtures for another 5-6 weeks. And with a player pool the size of Ambridge, no club picks the team this far in advance. More often, it’s probably less than 48 hours in advance, just because of availability.
And Brad learning how to do the scoring… it takes about ten minutes for anyone with literally half a brain cell to learn how to do it.
On top of that, it’s fascinating to see how quickly houses and businesses are getting back on their feet after the flood. It took us 16 months.
Grrrr. But also lol.

I know nothing about cricket, but I assumed you picked the team one match at a time, and tried to avoid upsetting those you didn't pick, as you were bound to need them at some point in the season.
But, if people are willing to believe a sewage works could be uphill from the houses it serves, then presumably they will believe anything.

In fairness, Youngest’s village club has had a few indoor matches in the last couple of weeks

Someone who commentates on sport on ITV (I am not an avid sportsball viewer, can you tell?) had a lot to say about village cricket on this week’s podcast.
