I have the same problem with Asics but none at all with inov-8 or Saucony.

Northern Exile
Dave: Yes. The Mizuno Wave Ascend is a great trail shoe, I've just bought a pair of the latest (mk VII). I've also not long since bought a pair of Cabraken 4 (their top end trail shoe), sadly this was a mistake and they don't fit properly - that'll teach me to buy unseen/untried.

Anybody wanna buy 'em? Worn once, still boxed and like new. Size 8.5, 50 quid + P&P.

I wonder whether being AffCath makes me a 'friend of Rowan', and whether this is as socially divisive as being a 'friend of Dorothy' (or indeed Bill).

wearing through the uppers in not a problem..its the soles youve got to worry about, just cut the offending part out of the shoe when you get it new if it gives you hassle..

I have had the same issue with three identical pairs of Asics GT 2160s but I figured it wouldn't reduce the life or functionality of the shoe so I've just let my little pet holes grow. I'd miss them if they went away.

Apparently, it's just that I have unusually square feet. eL Bee has spoken, and he knows.
