Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Would appreciate some advice please

Stubbed my toe on a trail run yesterday and it's purple, swollen and I am limping. Hospital for an X-Ray or not?

Thanks :)

Is the pain a throbbing pain or constant? I broke my little toe once and the pain was really bad throbbing pain for for about 2 or 3 days I could only sleep intermittently with it raised up with pillows. It looked deformed too but I knew with it being a little toe they wouldn't do anything so just waited for it to heal (it doesn't bend now but doesn't cause any problems) If it's a constant pain it's less likely to be broken however if you suspect a break I'd get an x-ray a big toe is more important than a lesser toe.

If you'd broken your big toe you wouldn't be walking. I've done mine twice, so speak from experience... I've also bruised it a few times. Can you bend it?

Oh forgot to say, last time I broke it, they didn't cast it - apparently they don't anymore. And they only xray big toes now, little toes are rest and strapping only ;)

Walking but limping, can't bend it, too sore and swollen and its a throbbing pain not constant. Hopefully it's just bruised then. Thanks guys :)

I can't help on the toe situation but sorry to have missed the run yesterday as we usually try to do that one.... hope the toe is only bruised and see you at the next one perhaps.

When I broke mine they did nothing. I got a lovely x-ray to prove it was broken.

Yeah they only strap now apparently. Anyway, had an x-ray, its soft tissue damage. No running for 3 weeks :(

B, it was a nice trail.

Got something to say?
