Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have an old singlet that I use for (running) races. I would like to display a race name, 4 nice big letters, on it. What is the best way to do this?

Where can I find suitable letters?

The singlet is coolmax or other similar technical fabric so I'm guessing that iron-on won't work. Fabric glue perhaps?

I'm a single bloke who can't sew but I can probably find someone who can.

Ta in advance for info.

eBay. You can order iron-on letters in any size, colour and name. I got some for about £5 and have about 10 sets of my name in glittery black! (I only needed one)

You do have to be careful ironing onto tech fabric, but it does work, and mine has been washed without problem.

It's possible to use iron-on lettering with technical fabrics provided you have a cloth between the iron and the fabric. Sets of letters (you can specify your choice of letters) are quite cheap on Amazon. I did VP's Fetch tops recently and it worked fine.

Ah, so iron-ons do work. Good to know. Unfortunately I don't have an eBay account (deleted it a while back) but Vrap says Amazon so I shall take a look.

I'm reminded that I still have some cycling jerseys to personalise.

Failing that, Decathlon will do it for you - letters in various colours. I took my Fetch shirt there as they did yellow.

I once heard a runner say that they took a vest to their nearest football club shop and they did it for them.
