Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ran the race yesterday with my daughter, whose first ever race this was (she had never run over 7 miles previously). Really enjoyed it, some testing drags but generally I liked the course, and thought the overall organisation was excellent. I think we'll be back next year!

It was very well organised I thought, and the support along the way was great. I especially liked the bloke on Pershore Road playing Chariots of Fire (although I bet his neighbours hate him) and the students having the party.

Turn right on to Kensington Road, then left on to Selly Park Road to get back on to Pershore Road? Never run up there. I see it comes down Mary Vale now after going up Bournville Lane.

Just read your blog, speed bums isn't good :-o

You were obviously running when you came past me, otherwise you'd have got some 'abuse' ;-)

I'm taking credit for Gemma Steel kicking on, lol. At around 17:30 on the channel 5 coverage, I give her a shout and then she starts putting the hammer down, not a coincidence I'm sure ;-)

Channel 5 coverage is here: channel5.com

On the C5 coverage they miss the full extent of the hill as they showed both the men and the women just as they crested the climb and turned downhill. Looks like Gemma Steel won the race there.

That was wrong as it still climbs for a bit after the turn.
