If you are having a problem with just one upload, you could always upload to garmin connect first and then export as a GPX file and try and import that in to Fetch instead.

I have had this sort of issue with my 305 and my 405. With the 305 I just used to upload straight to fetch, but on the 405 the ANT agent uploads to Garmin Connect first then when I go to upload to fetch I assume that it pulls the information from what the ANT agent has received as part of that process? The hanging always happens on the ANT agent side of the process (ie once it's transferred from the Garmin there's no issue pulling it across to fetch) so I suspect it's a Garmin issue not a fetch issue. Usually when it happens to me I just retry it til it works, and it stops at a different point on each attempted upload.

I get that a lot. I can just restart it, but has happened up to 10 times in a row, which starts becoming a bit dull! :-)G

Same as Happy. It fixes itself eventually, but I sometimes end up restarting a whole bunch of times.

I haven't read back. This happens often. It tends to crash my browser if I try to shut the tab. So...
I tend to open up another tab and try again. Repeat until if works.
It's a lot less annoying if you upload to fetch using a different browser if you have loads of tabs open.
And delete the history from your Garmin - assuming you have a backup, then it doesn't take as long to decide it isn't going to work.

Wow, so many responses, thankyou!!
Did everything I could find on every site. Deleted history, re loaded firmware, soft reset, nothing worked. Kept having problems with it no turning on once Fetch had failed.
Eventually I just manually copied the data into Fetch.
Went out for a run today and connected to fetch with no problems at all, so must've been some corrupted data somehow.
Glad I got it resolved, thought I was going to have to shell out for a new Garmin at one point!!
Thankyou again everyone!

Its an going issue ive had with both 205 and 305. I just upload with chrome and when it crashes upload it through firefox. Sometimes it crashes sometimes it doesnt. It seems to be a vista issue as when i upload through windows 7 it doesnt happen.
Just keep trying to upload and eventually it will go through.

It's not just fetch that has this problem. It also happens when I upload to the Garmin site. I have found that it happens less frequently on my work PC - which doesn't autostart the garmin s/w when the watch is connected to the PC. Have you tried uninstalling training centre and then uploading to fetch (Remember to back up any data before you uninstall Garmin TC - I don't want to be to blame for you losing all your data!).

I've had similar problem uploading to Fetch and garmin connect, and managed to sort it by clearing anyhting older that 1 month from the memory.
